The aim of this course is to give the participants the necessary skills through theoretical and practical training to evacuate themselves from a structure at height using a full body harness and rope-based descender device.

Upon successful completion of this course, delegates will be able to:
Understand & explain the importance of emergency plans for work at height, including the potential dangers of suspension in a harness.
Identify a safe place and system for personal evacuation from height.
Recognise hazards and potential dangerous situations whilst carrying out personal evacuation from height.
Understand the importance of inspection, care and maintenance of evacuation equipment.
Select, pre-use inspect, set up and use a personal evacuation system.
Important Delegate Information
All personnel participating in Safety Training shall be medically fit and capable of fully participating. Delegates will be required to sign a statement stating that they are medically fit to participate in the safety training and that they do not suffer from any medical illness or are under influence of any narcotic substance or alcohol.
