A course designed to provide the individual with the skills and confidence to operate in a Low – Medium Risk Confined Space.
A Low Risk Confined Space is defined as ‘shallow entry with adequate natural or mechanical ventilation, where access is simple and unobstructed and there is no likely risk of flooding.
A Medium Risk Confined Space exists where there are access issues and a realistic expectation of encountering a Specified Risk (fire or explosion, overheating, asphyxiation, drowning).
Those taking part in this training should consider and plan for the Work at Height implications of accessing and working within a Confined Space. A Work at Height module can be added, a further 1/2 days training.
The course can be delivered on site, providing minimum theory and practical facilities are available, or at the HART training facility in Kent.
To give delegates the basic required knowledge and skills to be able to work safely in a confined space where a hazardous atmosphere is not normally present but there is a reasonably foreseeable risk of conditions becoming hazardous.
