meet the Tor
On St Valentine’s Day, HART unveiled its brand new, high tech Working at Height training facility.
The showpiece of the new facility is the Giant Training Tower, The Tor. One of the tallest training towers in Europe, it can simulate realistic evacuations from wind turbines, tower crane, telecoms and lattice work.
The Tor is audited and approved by Renewables UK, GWO and Siemens for the delivery of Working at Height training and the only accredited tower of its type in the South of England.
Further exciting additions include 35 metres of indoor confined space tunnels to deliver City & Guilds accredited courses, three new 10 metre telecom and electrical poles for pole top rescue, and a Fire Training area.
HART is planning a spectacular opening night with live demonstrations, involving key clients, invited local government officials and strategic partners.
The evening promises to be EPIC and full of surprises!
Andy Stock, HART’s Training Director, said: “We are delighted with the new centre. It is testament to our entire team’s dedication and vision to be professional providers of Working at Height training”.
Managing Director, Oliver Auston, said: “The new HART training centre has required some heavy investment, creative thinking and vision, especially to deliver it within such short time frame. I am confident we have a team of dedicated professionals delivering mentally and physically challenging courses. We wanted to put ourselves on the map as a centre of excellence, so we knew The Tor had to be very capable and unique. With the recent expansion of the Renewables sector, it will be great news for Kent and the South East where more jobs will continue to be created and drive more growth in the local economy.”
