Height Safety Training Facility in Kent
HART boasts comprehensive facilities at its purpose-built height safety training centre in Sheerness, Kent, that cover every aspect of working at height.
As well as well-equipped classrooms that accommodate up to 18 people, we have an indoor practical training area complete with a test structure.
Fall Arrest Training Equipment:
- • Vertical ladders complete with fall arrest systems (cable and fixed rail) and powered hoists
- • Temporary horizontal lifelines installed in various locations around the test structure
- • Permanent horizontal lifeline installed on metal decking
- • Eyebolts for window cleaning applications installed on vertical and horizontal beams
- • Overhead horizontal lifeline installed in warehouse environment
- • Complete and comprehensive fall protection and textile lifting gear product portfolio (for use with practical training where required)
- • Max 8m roof to drop pit base
- • Midpoint gantry for demonstration, abseil and rescue
- • 6m high scaffolded viewing gallery which also provides a real worksite set up
- • 4m high steel walkways, these can be used for over edge rescues and abseil
- • 4m Abseil walking wall with climbing hand grips and two overhead beams for trainer and trainee
- • Fixed davit location on steel walkways allowing confined entry training
- • Metal grating over 2m deep pit for manhole simulation and compatible with both tripods and davits
- • 2m pit is tanked and waterproofed for water rescue training (special preparation required).
Furthermore, we offer the following technology aimed at giving you a greater understanding of your height safety training:
- • Hardwired loadcells linked back to a central computer control system allows trainer to monitor actual loading real time
- • HD video technology can be used as visual records and DVD of the day produced if required.
HART also provides a variety of mannequins, masses and equipment for effective fall arrest training, including:
- • 2 x 100kg Ruthlee Rescue manequins
- • 2 x 30kg Ruthlee Rescue manequins
- • 1 x 100kg Articulated manequins
- • 1 x 160kg (adjustable down to 50kg) solid half torso
- • 2 x 100kg solid steel test mass
- • 2 x 150kg solid steel test mass
- • 2 x 60kg solid steel test mass
- • 2 x 30 kg solid test mass
- • 2 x 10 kg test mass
- • Horizontal test jaws for material development testing
- • Multiple test pins for webbing and metallic testing
- • 1 x 5T dynamic loadcell*
- • 1 x 8m x 85T Horizontal testbed
- • Fixed eye bolts for dynamic and static testing/training
- • Ground anchor sockets rated up to 50kN
- • 3 x overhead powered hoists
- • Abrasion testing machine
- • Endurance testing and cycle testing machine
- • Vickers Hardness testing machine, coverts to a Brinel hardness scale.
*All loadcells are linked back to a central computer control system that displays and records both force/time and force/extension.
Participants on full-day height safety training courses will receive free lunch and we offer free tea and coffee making facilities to all trainees. Our training facility also has free WiFi and ample on site parking.
