Training Aimed at: Anyone who uses access and roof ladders for work
Course Duration: 1 day (6.5 hours)
Instructor to Trainee ratio: 1 : 10 (max)
Course Entry Criteria: NONE
Both theoretical and practical, this course enables users of leaning ladders and pitched roof ladders to work safely while performing their tasks, ladder set up (ladder stability devices and ladder restraint system) and safe transfer from leaning ladders to roof ladders.
Window cleaners, aerial and satellite dish installers, building alarm fitters and roofers will all benefit from this one-day course.
Delegates will have a thorough and complete understanding of what is required to work safely at height. Furthermore, delegates will also have a greter understanding of what is required to work safely at height and achieve better practical standards of health and safety in the work place.
On completion of this course, personnel should be able to:
On completion of the Basic Work At Height Course, trainees will be given course notes in PDF form, including HSE & industry guidance notes and ACOPs.
An assessment will be given at the end of the course by the height safety trainer. Written assessment pass rate is 70% or above. There will also be a practical assessment by the trainer.
On completion of the course all trainees will be issued with a certificate which shows they are competent working at heights and on ladders.
